Pop ups on every landing* page. Do those work? I don’t need a sale yet I didn’t even see anything. It seems so needy

Slow loading (J Crew is the worst)

Too many photos on landing

I wish stores had simple sites just show me the products in a 9x9

This was so fun! I’ll add that my ick, now that I write a free newsletter too, is brands who don’t include a clean flat lay photo on their PDP. Let me promote your items for you!!

All of these and tacking on with an ick from a former online merchandising manager: Sephora ending promotions 15 mins before they're set to expire in the t&c. It's happened to me twice this year while items were in my basket. Please don't forget your (ultra) last minute shoppers Sephora.

this is such a good one! I wonder why they do this? it feels like it would lead to a lot of customer escalations for no real benefit.

I'm curious if it's a systems issue. One of the brands I worked at didn't have timed pricing updates, so we had to remove all promotions manually by staying up until midnight to flip everything back 🫠 I'd hope Sephora has a more sophisticated platform than that though :)

Agree with ALL of these! Especially the excess packaging as someone really passionate about 'less is more'.

Shopping on the Sezane website is impossible. Everything is too posed and styled to really see what the product looks like! Drives me nuts.

Was going to comment the same thing! One of my favorite stores, but their photos can make it so hard to get a feel for the product!
