I read recently that Amazon is looking to include ads that lead to D2C sites (this is how they might be able to have Nike "back on Amazon") - in reference to "Using an Amazon AI assistant ensures those dollars stay on Amazon." in the article. Loved reading about your experiment, Melina. It’ll be really interesting to see how this evolves. At the moment, Perplexity has partnered with Firmly.ai, but from what I know, they don’t have access to real-time product data across all stores/all items.. and checkout is tricky, like you experienced, because they can’t pull shipping costs or final details in real time yet.
